Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the .NAME universal top-level extension is the only one intended for personal websites only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to secure john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken 3rd-level domains remained operational.

Through our firm, you can secure your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you take its EPP transfer key from the present domain service provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no specific stipulations on who can purchase a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the idea behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
